Mechanical Shift Engineer

We're recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join the engineering team at a prestigious commercial skyscraper in the heart of Liverpool Street.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-profile commercial environment, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and supporting the smooth operation of critical building services.

The Role

Working as part of a professional on-site maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on mechanical plant.
• Reactive maintenance and fault finding when required.
• Maintaining AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, valves, pipework and associated HVAC equipment.
• Plant room inspections and routine checks.
• Monitoring building systems and ensuring statutory compliance.
• Completing maintenance records using the site's CAFM system.
• Working safely in line with health & safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience within commercial building maintenance.
• Good knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, reliable approach with excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in a high-rise commercial or critical environment is advantageous.
