Mechanical Site Supervisor
Location: South of England (Nationwide Travel Required)
Salary: £54,896 per annum (£22.95 per hour) + Overtime
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
The Opportunity
An established and growing mechanical installation contractor is looking to appoint a Mechanical Site Supervisor to support a growing portfolio of projects across the South of England.
Operating within the water, utilities, process and industrial sectors, the business delivers mechanical installation works on projects nationwide, with current workloads across locations including Southampton, Cricklewood and Bexhill. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and hands-on Mechanical Site Supervisor to join their expanding delivery team.

Working Hours
·Monday to Thursday: 10 hours per day
·Friday: 6 hours
·Total: 46 hours per week

The Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for supervising mechanical installation activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
This is a working supervisor role, meaning you will remain actively involved in site operations whilst leading installation teams and coordinating day-to-day activities.
You will act as the key point of contact between site teams, project management and client representatives, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities
·Supervise mechanical installation works on site
·Lead and coordinate mechanical installation teams
·Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality
·Coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors
·Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to deliver projects on programme
·Ensure compliance with all company procedures and health and safety legislation
·Monitor progress and identify delays, risks and technical issues
·Maintain accurate site records and documentation
·Manage hired equipment and company assets on site
·Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
·Identify and communicate variations and additional works opportunities
·Ensure installations are completed in accordance with specifications, drawings and quality standards
·Support the successful delivery of projects within budget and programme constraints

Requirements
·Proven experience supervising mechanical installation projects
·Background within water, wastewater, utilities, process, industrial or similar sectors
·NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Installation (or equivalent)
·SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
·Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements
·Excellent communication and leadership skills
·Full UK Driving Licence
·Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be based within the South of England and comfortable travelling to projects across the region and further afield when required.
You will have previous experience supervising mechanical installation teams within water, wastewater, utilities or process environments and be confident leading site activities while remaining hands-on when required.
