£40,000 + Van and Fuel Card
Brief
Mobile Mechanical Engineer needed for a large, well-known Facilities Management organisation based in the Midlands who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mechanical Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of Mechanical Engineering including, PPM's and reactive maintenance including general plumbing, boilers, heating systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant qualification- i.e. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing etc. and have a keen interest in Mechanical Engineering. If you have commercial experience in maintenance in a facilities management environment that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Mobile Mechanical Engineer will include:
- Carry out Mechanical works in a commercial setting, including general plumbing, boilers, heating systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems etc.
- Cover numerous sites that fall within the contract such as Stoke Schools and Guide Dogs
- Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion and travel times with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices
- Take part in the on-call rota
What experience you need to be the successful Mobile Mechanical Engineer:
- A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential
- C&G Level 3 Plumbing desirable
- Must have a full drivers' licence
- This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
