Mobile MEP & Fabric Asset Surveyor

Location: London (covering London, East Anglia and South East/Kent)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, are seeking a Mobile MEP & Fabric Asset Surveyor to join a leading facilities and asset management team supporting a high-profile public sector portfolio. This field-based role will involve travelling across multiple sites to undertake detailed asset surveys and ensure the accuracy of property asset data.

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge of building services and fabric assets. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate asset records, supporting lifecycle planning and helping to improve asset management across a diverse estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed MEP and building fabric asset surveys across multiple sites.
• Capture asset information, attributes and classifications using mobile surveying technology.
• Verify asset condition, location, specification and operational status.
• Apply relevant asset classification standards and coding structures.
• Validate asset data against existing asset registers and tagging strategies.
• Identify missing, duplicate, obsolete or incorrectly recorded assets.
• Record photographic evidence and maintain accurate audit trails.
• Support asset data quality improvement initiatives and lifecycle planning activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience carrying out MEP and building fabric asset surveys.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and public health systems.
• Knowledge of building fabric elements and asset management principles.
• Experience using digital surveying and data capture tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload.
• Full UK driving licence.

Additional Information

• This is a mobile role covering London, East Anglia and the South East/Kent region.
• Regular travel between sites is required.
• Successful applicants will be required to complete BPSS security clearance.
