Mobile Plant Technician - Heathrow & Reading

We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mobile Plant Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable company specialising in plant machinery and heavy goods vehicle maintenance across the M4 corridor between Heathrow and Reading. Duties of this Mobile Plant Technician role: 

• Perform major and minor repairs on Plant Machinery, HGVs, Trailers, and other Commercial Vehicles
• Conduct scheduled servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on plant and vehicle fleet
• Complete PDI checks and attachment setups on new machinery
• Carry out diagnostic repairs, fault finding, and general maintenance in the field
• Maintain and manage inventory of tools and parts within the company van
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality controls
• Provide timely servicing and repairs to minimise vehicle downtime and maximise operational efficiency

Requirements of this Mobile Plant Technician position:

• NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology or Plant Maintenance
• Proven workshop experience as a Plant or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Full UK driving licence with clean driving record
• Ability to work autonomously across multiple locations within the M4 corridor
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach
• Committed to delivering high standards of quality and safety
• Adaptable and flexible to meet the demands of a mobile role
