Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester Opportunity at Leading Hereford Dealership

Our client, a well-established franchise-approved dealership in Hereford, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join their busy Service Department. Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester:

• Competitive salary from £24,000 to £38,000 per annum, with potential for over £44,000+ OTE including bonuses
• Uncapped monthly bonus scheme of up to £6,000, rewarding efficiency and productivity
• Overtime available at enhanced time-and-a-half rate
• Ongoing technical training, including opportunities to attain Level 3 qualification to further enhance skills and earnings
• 31 days annual leave, including bank holidays, increasing with length of service

• Working hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday morning (8:30am-12:30pm)

Duties:

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles according to manufacturer standards and dealership procedures
• Accurately diagnose faults, report vehicle conditions, safety, reliability, and performance issues to the Service Manager
• Perform MOT testing in line with Ministry standards
• Adhere strictly to quality, health & safety, and environmental procedures
• Maintain high standards of workmanship consistently in a busy environment
• Assist in achieving departmental targets and objectives
• Support team members and foster a collaborative working environment

Requirements for the MOT Technician position:

• Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Valid MOT testing licence
• UK driving licence
• Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
• Strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Motivated, with a proactive approach and excellent team skills
• Live within reasonable commuting distance to Hereford
