Panama Shift Pattern (Days & Nights, 12-Hour Shifts)
The Opportunity
A leading manufacturing business is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its highly automated production facility in Slough.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Engineering Technician or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable role within a well-invested site that offers long-term career development and ongoing training.
Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining production machinery, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement activities across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding on production and packaging machinery
- PLC fault finding and diagnostics at I/O level
- Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
- Working on motors, drives, inverters, sensors, conveyors and gearboxes
- Root cause analysis and fault elimination
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with engineering standards
- Minimising downtime and maximising equipment performance
Skills & Experience Required
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or equivalent Engineering qualification
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship
- Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer or Engineering Technician
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Mechanical maintenance experience
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, packaging, automated warehousing, logistics or production environments
