Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment, supporting the maintenance and reliability of a wide range of production machinery and site equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced production setting, carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults in a timely manner.
- Support the smooth operation of critical production lines and site assets.
- Maintain accurate electronic maintenance records and work logs.
- Order and follow up on spare parts as required.
- Liaise with contractors and equipment manufacturers when necessary.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and engineering best practices.
- Provide clear handovers between shifts and support the wider engineering team.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with proven workplace experience.
- Multi-skilled engineering capability with electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability and a proactive approach.
Desirable Skills:
- HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Apprentice-trained background.
- Experience within print, packaging, paper converting, FMCG or other heavy industrial environments.
- Experience working with high-speed production machinery.
- Full, clean driving licence.
