Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Up to £20.59 per hour + Excellent Benefits

Annual Salary- £43,820

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently. Working as part of a team of six engineers, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns and support continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery.
• Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain low-voltage electrical systems, including 24V, single-phase and three-phase equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on control panels and production machinery.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and performance.
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maintain high operational standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A recognised electrical engineering qualification.
• Experience working with industrial machinery within a manufacturing, food production or similar environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills with a good understanding of mechanical systems.
• Experience with automated production equipment (highly desirable).
• A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving.
• The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.

Working Hours

This position operates on a two-week rotating shift pattern:

Week 1

• Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
• Saturday: 6:00am – 2:00pm

Week 2

• Monday to Friday: 1:45pm – 9:45pm
