Business Account Manager – Discount Retail

Location: Greater London

Salary: Up to £67,000 + £6,000 car allowance + bonus & benefits

Working: Hybrid

Nter Talent are representing a leading UK FMCG business in the appointment of a Business Account Manager, responsible for a significant portfolio of customers within the Discount Retail channel.

This is a genuinely commercial role where you'll have ownership of a £15m+ account portfolio, working with major retail customers and having real influence over account strategy, joint business planning, pricing, promotional investment and long-term growth.

The Role

You'll take full commercial ownership of your customer portfolio, developing relationships at head-office level and working closely with internal teams to deliver revenue, volume and margin targets.

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing a £15m+ customer portfolio, including forecasting, pricing, trade investment and profitability
• Building strong, commercially focused relationships with key retail customers
• Developing, negotiating and delivering Joint Business Plans
• Creating customer strategies covering promotions, distribution, range reviews and new product launches
• Using EPOS, category, shopper and commercial insight to identify opportunities and influence customer decisions
• Working closely with Marketing, Category, Finance, Supply Chain and Shopper Activation teams to deliver customer plans
• Managing promotional performance and ensuring strong commercial ROI
• Maintaining accurate forecasting and strong commercial governance
• Identifying opportunities to drive sustainable revenue, volume and margin growth

We're keen to speak with experienced UK FMCG Account Managers who can demonstrate:

• Strong experience managing significant FMCG customer accounts
• A proven track record of delivering revenue, volume and margin growth
• Experience managing a substantial P&L / account portfolio, ideally £15m+
• Strong Joint Business Planning experience
• Confidence negotiating with customers at head-office level
• Experience across promotions, range reviews, distribution and new product launches
• The ability to use EPOS, category and commercial data to build compelling customer recommendations
• A commercially minded approach with the confidence to challenge, negotiate and influence
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills
