Network Security Architect
Hampshire / Hybrid
6 month contract
SC cleared
circa £600 per day

We are looking for a Senior Networking & Security Specialist to take a technical lead role in the design, implementation and delivery of complex multi-vendor network and security solutions.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong expertise across routing & switching, network security, data centre networking and SD-WAN, alongside the ability to produce high-quality technical designs and lead delivery.

• Lead the design and implementation of complex network and security solutions.
• Produce HLDs, LLDs, implementation plans and operational runbooks.
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise and service-provider network infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and act as a senior escalation point.
• Work with customers, architects, project teams and vendors to deliver solutions.
• Lead technical discussions and present solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and support other engineers.
• Conduct design validation, testing and technical assessments.

• Strong Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet experience.
• Advanced routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, VPC/LACP, QoS.
• Cisco ACI, including spine/leaf, tenants, VRFs, BDs, EPGs and contracts.
• Network security including NGFWs, IPsec, SSL VPN and SD-WAN security.
• F5 BIG-IP, L4/L7 load balancing, SSL offloading and GSLB.
• Data centre networking and high-availability architectures.
• Network automation using Python, Ansible or network APIs is desirable.
