Network & Security Engineer

100% Onsite | Mon–Fri, 37.5 hr/week | Trust: NHS Central east ICB NHS Trust | Duration: 6-Month Contract (Possible Extension) | £28.9/hr + Holiday Pay (£4.07/hr) =>>(£32.97/hr) | Location: Welwyn Garden City AL7 1BW

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Network & Security Engineer with strong Cisco enterprise experience to support large-scale infrastructure and security projects within a complex NHS environment.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong Cisco networking background (routing, switching, enterprise environments)
• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and managing Cisco firewalls
• Experience building and deploying switches and network equipment
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-level network deployments and migrations
• Ability to manage and support large firewall estates (200–2000+ devices)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet
• Experience configuring and supporting enterprise network/security infrastructure
• Travel between multiple NHS sites will be required (mileage reimbursed at NHS rates)
