Job Description:

💷 Salary: £350 a day

We are seeking experienced and motivated NGED (National Grid Electricity Distribution) Wiremen to join a growing team supporting key projects across the Midlands and Yorkshire regions.

This role will involve working on LV/HV distribution networks, delivering safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and fault repair activities in line with NGED standards.

• Installation, jointing, and termination of LV and HV cables in accordance with NGED specifications
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on distribution networks
• Supporting new connections, upgrades, and diversion works
• Interpreting and working from technical drawings and schematics
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
• Conducting fault finding and emergency repairs
• Liaising with supervisors, engineers, and clients on-site

• Proven experience working as a Wireman within the utilities/power sector
• Valid NGED authorisations/competencies (or previously held)
• Strong knowledge of LV/HV distribution systems
• Relevant qualifications such as:
  • City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Ability to work flexibly including overtime and standby where required

• Authorisations for SAP / Senior Authorised Person (advantageous but not essential)
• Experience working on live networks
• Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and safety rules within DNO environments
