Operations Manager – Fire & Security- Hampshire- £50,000 Per Annum

• Office based, commutable from the Portsmouth, Petersfield, Waterlooville areas
• Team of Engineers cover Hampshire, West Sussex, Berkshire, East Sussex, Dorset & Surrey with No London travel
• Salary around £50,000, depending on experience
• Company vehicle, Company phone, Laptop
• Monday to Friday
• Predominantly local work

Fire and Security Operations Manager Overview:

We’re working with an established fire and security company looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day to day running of their engineering operation.

This is a predominantly commercial role, with around 95% of the work being commercial contracts and only a small amount of domestic work.

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge across fire and security systems, alongside the operational experience needed to manage engineers, maintenance schedules, faults, installations and compliance.

Fire and Security Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day management and support of engineers
• Organising the engineers’ works calendar
• Scheduling and ensuring monthly maintenance visits are completed on time
• Dealing with customer faults over the phone and arranging call outs where required
• Providing technical advice and support to engineers
• Organising the engineer call-out rota
• Managing small and medium works
• Ordering equipment and parts for specific jobs
• Managing engineer stock and van stock
• Ordering parts and coordinating small day works
• Carrying out regular van checks
• Ensuring monthly installation targets are achieved
• Managing maintenance data and keeping records up to date
• Supporting BAFE and NSI paperwork, inspections and assessments

Fire and Security Operations Manager Skills & Experience:

• Strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems
• Experience managing or supporting engineers
• The ability to diagnose faults and provide technical assistance remotely
• Experience with maintenance scheduling and service delivery
• An understanding of BAFE and NSI requirements
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The confidence to manage engineers and deal with customers professionally
