Job Description

PK Education are recruiting for an experienced Personal Assistant to support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team at a large, well-established secondary school in Sheffield.

This is a full-time temporary position throughout November, providing essential administrative support while the school's newly appointed permanent member of staff completes their notice period.

The school is a large 11–16 secondary with a strong community focus, modern facilities and an ambitious leadership team committed to improving educational outcomes. With a broad curriculum and a strong emphasis on student achievement, personal development and inclusion, this is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy and rewarding school environment.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, professional and confident managing competing priorities while providing confidential administrative support to senior school leaders.

The Role

• Providing PA and administrative support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team

• Managing diaries, appointments and meeting schedules

• Organising meetings, preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes

• Handling confidential correspondence and sensitive information

• Acting as a professional point of contact for staff, parents and external stakeholders

• Preparing letters, reports, presentations and other documentation

• Coordinating communication between senior leaders and school departments

• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the leadership office

• Managing competing deadlines in a busy secondary school environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a PA, Executive Assistant or Senior Administrator

• Previous experience working within a UK school is highly desirable

• Confident supporting senior leaders or management teams

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office

• Experience managing diaries, meetings and confidential correspondence

• Professional, discreet and confident communicating with stakeholders

• Able to work independently and settle quickly into a busy environment

• Available throughout November

• Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS Check
