Job Description:

Part Qualified Accountant

Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hour working week

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Part Qualified Accountant to join our client's friendly and growing accountancy practice in Ripon. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous practice experience who is looking to continue developing their skills and progress their accounting career within a supportive environment.

The Role

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Producing management accounts
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
• Supporting personal and corporation tax compliance work
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and reconciliations
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
• Supporting clients with bookkeeping and compliance requirements
• Handling day-to-day client queries and providing professional support

About You

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent 
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
• Professional, client-focused attitude
• Positive approach and willingness to learn
• Ideally based in or within commuting distance of Ripon
