🚨 Payroll & Pensions Manager 🚨
I'm currently supporting a fantastic college that is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll & Pensions Manager to join their HR and Finance function.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with strong payroll and pensions expertise who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of a critical function within the organisation.
💼 What you'll be doing:
Managing the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
Overseeing pension processes including LGPS, Teachers' Pensions and Auto Enrolment
Submitting payroll reports, FPS/EPS returns and year-end payroll duties
Monitoring payroll workflows and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations
Acting as the main point of contact for payroll and pension queries
Managing and developing payroll processes within the iTrent HR/Payroll system
Producing payroll forecasting reports and supporting management accounts
Line managing the Payroll/HR Administrator and supporting their development
Ensuring payroll procedures remain compliant with current legislation and best practice
👤 What we're looking for:
Previous payroll management experience within a medium to large organisation
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions, PAYE and National Insurance
Experience using complex HR/payroll systems, ideally iTrent (MHR)
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive and collaborative approach to work
Payroll or pensions qualifications such as CIPP or AAT are highly desirable
