Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented PCB Assembler / Wireman to join our client's manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling printed circuit boards using various techniques and tools, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities

• Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to accurately position and secure components
• Inspect assembled PCBs for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with quality standards
• Follow detailed technical drawings and assembly instructions to complete tasks efficiently
• Assist in troubleshooting minor issues during assembly and report any major concerns to supervisors
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) and traditional assembly methods
• Electrical experience or background in electronics is highly desirable
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous
• Mechanical knowledge related to component fitting and PCB handling
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with electrical or electronic assembly is preferred but not essential
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role
