Plumber/ Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £36,000 per annum

Location: South Coast – Chichester to Southampton

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, experienced and enthusiastic Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our growing maintenance team on our MOD Housing contract.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in plumbing, alongside a broad range of general maintenance and repair abilities. You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality repairs and maintenance across a variety of properties. We maintain approx. 4000 properties along the south coast, from Chichester through Portsmouth to Southampton.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out general plumbing repairs.

• Undertaking general property maintenance and repairs.

• Completing minor carpentry, filling, sealing and finishing work.

• Painting and decorating repairs to a high professional standard.

• Complete small plaster/ fill repairs.

• Keeping families informed of next steps.

• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and professional working environment.

• Working with a scheduler to organise your daily diary.

• Adhere to contract requirement for PPE usage. 

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience in plumbing.

• Has a broad range of general maintenance and repair skills.

• Takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and a professional finish.

• Is practical, organised and able to work independently.

• Has good problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

• Is reliable, punctual and professional when dealing with clients and customers.

• Holds a full UK driving licence and is comfortable travelling throughout the working area.
