PPA Cover HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

Contract Type: Temporary, Term-Time Only (Fixed Term for the Autumn Term)

Duration: September 2026 - December 2026

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: £130.00 per day

Qualifications: Qualified HLTA (Level 4 TA) or equivalent / Experienced Unqualified Teacher

The Role: What We're Looking For

We are seeking a confident, professional, and dynamic HLTA to deliver high-quality PPA cover across the school for the duration of the Autumn term. This is a brilliant opportunity to lead classrooms in a highly supportive environment where the hard work of lesson preparation is already done for you!

Key Highlights of the Role:

• Zero Planning: All lesson planning is fully provided by our experienced class teachers. Your focus is purely on delivering engaging lessons and managing the classroom effectively.

• Classroom Leadership: Confidently leading classes across different year groups, maintaining a positive, structured, and purposeful learning environment.

• Nurture in Practice: Upholding our inclusive ethos by ensuring every child is supported, encouraged, and valued during your cover sessions.

Requirements:

• Must hold a Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent/higher) or be an experienced instructor/unqualified teacher comfortable with whole-class delivery.

• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (KS1/KS2) National Curriculum to effectively deliver provided lessons across different year groups.

• Excellent classroom management skills with a warm, positive, and authoritative presence.

• A flexible, adaptable nature and a genuine alignment with nurture-led education.
