Production Line Leader – Temp to Perm

Location: Kingswinford
Contract: Temporary to Permanent (after 12 weeks)
Shifts: Monday to Friday - 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm rotating weekly.
Overtime: Paid at 1.33x after 37.5 hours

Please note: Due to the location and shift patterns, own transport is essential.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Line Leader to oversee a busy production line and lead a team in achieving daily production targets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can motivate teams, solve problems proactively, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a production team to achieve hourly and daily targets
• Manage labour effectively to meet production volumes and cost objectives
• Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, GMP, and hygiene compliance
• Complete production documentation accurately and use the integrated management system (Vision)
• Assist with training, onboarding, and development of new starters
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and waste reduction activities
• Liaise with agency staff and provide regular operational feedback
• Monitor KPIs including output, quality, waste, training, and health & safety performance
• Participate in team leader meetings, reviews, and performance management processes

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience within a production or manufacturing leadership role
• Confident managing and motivating teams in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of quality standards, hygiene procedures, and health & safety requirements
• Comfortable completing production paperwork and using internal systems
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong communication and organisational skills

This role would suit an existing Line Leader, Senior Operative, or Step-Up Supervisor looking to progress further.
