Production Manager

• A strong welding / fabrication background to high / clean standards is essential for this position

• Salary c£55,000 to £65,000 as a guide + wider benefits.

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a team of 20 within a busy stainless steel, light / TIG fabrication environment. Excellent business with fantastic facilities and part of a highly successful group. Chance to implement your own ideas within a well settled team. 

Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum. 

This Production Manager job will suit:

• Experience working within the stainless steel fabrication sector.

• Specific experience working around conveyor systems / for the food sector would be ideal. 

• Proven Man Management / Supervisory experience, alongside a track record of improving processes across fabrication.

• Come from a hands-on welding / fabrication background. 

• Health & Safety / Quality driven to ensure products are manufactured to a high standard.

• Organised and a natural problem solver. Someone who wants to own the department and strive to continually improve all aspects.

• Comfortable with IT systems, experience with Sage (or similiar) would be ideal, but this can be trained where required.

The Production Manager job will involve:

• Managing the fabrication processes ensuring products are delivered to specification and standards.
• Man management of the team, supporting development / training where required.
• Introducing new processes to help improve efficiency within the fabrication team.

• Manage quality issues in all aspects of production.

• Maintenance of all tools, equipment, fixings, PPE and similar goods within a budget.

This job is commutable from Coalville, Leicester, Ashby, Derby, Castle Donington, Nuneaton.
