Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum + employee benefits
Working Hours: 40 hours per week | 08:00 start
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Team Lead to support and drive production activities within our manufacturing operation in Loughborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience in product assembly, team supervision and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring products are built to the highest quality standards while maintaining safety, productivity and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives.
* Coordinate daily production activities to ensure output, quality and delivery targets are achieved.
* Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively across the production area.
* Support the assembly and fitting of products to required specifications.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
* Monitor attendance, performance and training requirements within the team.
* Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
* Ensure accurate completion of production documentation and records.
* Support inventory control and production planning through effective use of ERP systems.
* Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Previous experience in a production, manufacturing or assembly environment.
* Experience leading or supervising a production team.
* Strong people management and communication skills.
* Computer literate with experience using ERP/MRP systems.
* Ability to interpret production documentation and work instructions.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable
* Experience working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Experience within an engineering, technology or advanced manufacturing environment.
