Profit Centre Manager – Electrical Wholesale

Take full commercial ownership of an established electrical wholesale Profit Centre, with the autonomy to grow sales, develop your team and drive profitability.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Wholesale Branch Manager, Profit Centre Manager or senior electrical wholesale professional to join one of the UK's leading electrical distribution groups. You'll have genuine local autonomy backed by the resources, buying power and support of a major national business.

The Role

As Profit Centre Manager, you'll take responsibility for the overall commercial and operational performance of the business.

You'll lead from the front with customers, develop your team and identify opportunities to increase sales, margin and market share across the local electrical wholesale market.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Taking full responsibility for Profit Centre sales, profitability and performance

• Developing and implementing plans to grow sales, margin and market share

• Building strong relationships with electrical contractors, industrial customers and other trade customers

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities

• Leading, motivating and developing the branch team

• Managing key supplier relationships

• Overseeing stock, purchasing and day-to-day branch operations

• Monitoring commercial performance and making effective local business decisions

• Maintaining high standards of customer service

What We're Looking For

The successful Profit Centre Manager will ideally have:

• Strong experience within electrical wholesale or electrical distribution

• Previous experience as a Branch Manager, Profit Centre Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or in a similar senior commercial role

• A proven track record of developing customer relationships and growing sales

• Good commercial awareness with an understanding of margin and profitability

• The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team

• A proactive, entrepreneurial approach and confidence making independent commercial decisions

• Knowledge of the St Albans and surrounding electrical wholesale market would be advantageous
