My client is a well-established, family-owned engineering business with a strong reputation within the lift industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Lift Project Engineer to join their Leicester-based technical team.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing lift industry knowledge who is looking to move into a predominantly office-based role, coordinating projects from initial survey and design through to manufacture and delivery.
 
The Role - Lift Project Engineer

• Managing and coordinating lift projects from order confirmation through to manufacture and delivery.
• Working closely with the Drawing Office Manager and Design Engineers to ensure project drawings and specifications meet requirements.
• Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, including general arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Coordinating material requirements, production schedules and delivery arrangements.
• Liaising with internal engineering, manufacturing and technical teams to ensure projects run smoothly.
• Acting as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates on project progress.
• Supporting customer handovers and resolving any project-related queries following delivery.
• Identifying potential technical issues and ensuring projects meet quality and industry standards.
• Occasional site visits where required, with the majority of the role based in the Leicester office.
• Day shifts, Monday to Friday.

Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Lift Project Engineer

• Previous experience working within the lift industry is essential.
• Experience coordinating or managing lift engineering projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and general arrangements.
• Understanding of lift equipment, technical specifications and engineering processes.
• Experience with technical project delivery, design coordination, resource planning or site liaison.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Confident communicating with customers, engineers and internal departments.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence preferred for occasional site visits.

This position would suit a Lift Project Engineer, Lift Project Coordinator, Lift Technical Coordinator or experienced Lift Engineer with project management experience who is looking for a predominantly office-based position within a growing engineering business.

• Salary £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience).
• Permanent, full-time position.
• Predominantly office-based role in Leicester.
• Monday to Friday, day shifts.
