Project Manager
Location: Limerick, Ireland
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Life Sciences team in Limerick. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
This role will focus on managing key work packages including:
- Structural Steel
- External Envelope
- Internal Fit-Out
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects through all phases, from planning to completion.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, commercial, design, and construction functions.
- Monitor project progress and performance against programme and budget targets.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure resources are effectively allocated to achieve project milestones.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reporting on project progress, costs, quality, and key performance indicators.
- Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across all project activities.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with design specifications, statutory regulations, and company standards.
- Implement and monitor quality plans, inspection processes, and method statements.
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, variations, and cash flow.
- Work closely with commercial teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and contract administration.
- Oversee procurement activities and subcontractor performance.
- Support tender and bid submissions when required.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
- Chair project progress and coordination meetings.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related decisions, issues, and escalations.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance project environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Proven Project Management experience within a Tier 1 or large-scale construction or engineering environment.
- Experience managing major construction packages, including structural steel, envelope, and fit-out works.
- Strong understanding of project planning, budget management, risk control, and stakeholder engagement.
- Relevant health and safety certification (Safe Pass, CSCS, SMSTS, or equivalent).
