Project Manager

Full-time | Permanent
We're seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to join a growing project delivery team, taking responsibility for complex infrastructure schemes and playing a hands-on role in their successful delivery.
With a self-delivery approach, you'll be close to the action, working alongside your teams to solve problems, maintain high standards and deliver results you're proud to put your name to.
If you're commercially minded, technically capable and enjoy leading from the front, this could be your next move.
You'll have a broad remit, combining project leadership, commercial management and hands-on delivery.
Lead project delivery: Manage civil engineering projects from mobilisation through construction to completion and final handover.
Take ownership of performance: Manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts and reporting, including cost-value reconciliations (CVRs), identifying issues early and taking action to keep projects on track.
Manage resources effectively: Oversee the procurement and coordination of plant, labour, materials and subcontractors, ensuring resources are used efficiently and deliver value.
Influence design and engineering: Interpret technical drawings and client specifications, working closely with designers to resolve technical challenges and inform design changes where required.
Maintain quality and compliance: Ensure RAMS, quality plans, environmental controls and other project documentation are developed, implemented and maintained.
Lead commercially: Apply your understanding of contracts, costs and subcontractor performance to protect project outcomes and support sound commercial decisions.
We're looking for someone who understands the realities of civil engineering delivery and has the experience and confidence to take responsibility for a project.
You'll ideally have:
A degree or HND in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, forecasts, cost reporting and subcontractor performance.
A sound understanding of construction contracts, ideally including NEC.
Confidence using Microsoft Office, project planning software and digital cost management or reporting systems.
A full UK driving licence.
If you're an experienced civil engineering Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership, leading teams and delivering projects to a high standard, we'd like to hear from you.
