I am recruiting on behalf of my client for a
Quality Inspector to join a growing manufacturing business based in Bournemouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
Quality Inspector to join a well-established engineering environment supporting high-quality production, inspection and repair operations.
The successful
Quality Inspector will play a key role across goods inward inspection, in-process inspection and final product release, ensuring products meet customer, regulatory and internal quality requirements. The role will involve working across electrical, electronic, wiring and mechanical assemblies within a precision manufacturing environment.

As the
Quality Inspector, your responsibilities will include:
- Goods inward inspection of components and materials received from suppliers
- Carrying out initial inspection and assessment of returned equipment for repair activities
- Intermediate and final inspection of manufactured products
- Verifying products against engineering drawings, wiring schedules and Bills of Materials
- Supporting compliance with company quality procedures and industry standards
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based inspection records
- Assisting with corrective and preventative actions and supporting investigations
- Monitoring assembly and test operations to support Right First Time (RFT) performance
- Supporting quality documentation and customer deliverables
- Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
To be considered for this
Quality Inspector position, you should have:
- Previous experience within a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar quality standards
- The ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical engineering drawings
- Knowledge of tolerances, circuit diagrams and inspection processes
- Experience using metrology equipment and inspection techniques
- Understanding of non-conformance management and problem-solving methods
- Knowledge of ESD procedures and controls
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable experience for the
Quality Inspector role includes:
- IPC 610/620 inspection experience or equivalent
- Experience within electrical/electronics assembly or precision mechanical manufacturing
- Knowledge of machining and welding processes
- Understanding of First Article Inspection requirements
- Internal auditing experience
