Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor – Prime Residential
Central London Based

I’m currently working with a well-established and highly regarded main contractor specialising in super prime residential refurbishments across London’s most prestigious postcodes.

This growing business has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional, design-led projects, combining technical expertise with a meticulous approach to quality and detail. Their collaborative culture sees them working closely with leading architects, interior designers, and consultants on some of the capital’s most exclusive private residences.

The Opportunity

My client is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of prime residential refurbishment projects typically ranging from £2m to £15m+ in contract values.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic contractor in a niche, high-value sector, offering exposure to complex and rewarding projects. The role is based in Central London with regular site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the financial and commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account
• Prepare and review cost plans, tenders, valuations, and variations
• Assist with procurement of subcontract packages, including negotiation and contract administration
• Carry out site visits to monitor progress and support accurate cost reporting
• Work closely with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
• Maintain accurate records, forecasts, and reporting documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold high standards of quality and delivery

Candidate Profile

My client is seeking an ambitious and commercially astute individual looking to further their career within the prime residential sector.

Essential:

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Senior Quantity Surveying role within prime residential construction
• Strong understanding of contracts, cost control, and commercial reporting
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and within a team
• Strong communication skills

• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• Progress towards professional accreditation (e.g. MRICS)
