Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Capital Projects team supporting a government account. You will play a pivotal role in delivering cost management and commercial support across a portfolio of projects operating under NEC4 contracts, ensuring financial control, compliance and value delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

We are looking for a commercially focused professional who can help implement and sustain high standards of cost management while supporting the cost-effective delivery of Capital Projects and MAC services across government accounts. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost plans.
- Monitor and report on financial performance against targets.
Administer NEC4 contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Assess and manage contract risks, variations, compensation events and claims.
- Prepare tender documentation and support tender evaluation and procurement activities.
- Review applications for payment and prepare interim and final valuations.
- Provide commercial advice and reporting to project teams, clients, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
- Support governance, compliance, supply chain management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Building Surveying.
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction and/or FM industry.
- Strong knowledge of NEC4 contract administration.
- Expertise in cost management, tendering, procurement, valuations and risk management.
- Experience managing concurrent projects or programmes with a combined annual value of £5m+.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and cost management systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
- Eligibility to obtain BPSS and CTC clearance.
Desirable
- Experience within Government, FM, Corporate or Education environments.
- MRICS or RICS membership.
- NEC4 accreditation or working towards accreditation.
