Job Description:

🏗️ Quantity Surveyor | Milford Haven | Permanent

Blue Water Recruitment are working with a leading Tier 1 contractor who are delivering a major construction project in Milford Haven and are looking to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors interested in their next opportunity.

We're keen to hear from Quantity Surveyors who have experience working for main contractors on large-scale construction projects and are comfortable operating within a professional, highly regulated environment.

The role will involve:

• Managing project costs from start through to final account
• Preparing valuations, forecasts and monthly cost reports
• Procuring and managing subcontract packages
• Reviewing and negotiating variations and change control
• Contract administration and commercial risk management
• Working closely with site teams and senior project stakeholders
• Ensuring commercial performance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle

We're looking for:

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within a main contractor environment
• Experience delivering large construction projects
• Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
• Excellent commercial, contractual and negotiation skills
• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• RICS membership or working towards chartership would be advantageous

Experience within sectors such as infrastructure, energy, industrial, defence or other highly regulated environments would be beneficial, although not essential.
