Recruitment Consultant – Data Centres (No Experience Needed)

Fareham, Hampshire (office based)  |  £30,000 – £40,000 basic + uncapped commission  |  OTE £100,000  |  Full time, permanent

Data centres are being built faster than the industry can find people to commission them. EndState Commissioning, part of The Archer Recruitment Group, supplies the engineers and managers, who switch these sites on – and we need more consultants to keep up. No recruitment experience required: we will teach you the job from scratch.

The role

You will join our data centre desk in Fareham and be trained to run a recruitment desk in a sector where demand outstrips supply. Depending on your background and how quickly you progress, the role can be a trainee position, a delivery role (finding and placing candidates against live jobs), or a full 360 role (winning the clients as well as filling the jobs). You will learn to:

• Find, call and qualify commissioning engineers,managers and technicians for live data centre projects across the UK and Europe
• Draw the real detail out of a candidate and present them to a client in a way that gets them hired
• Build and maintain a network of contractors so that when a job lands, you already know who fills it
• Keep an accurate, well-tagged CRM so the right person is always a search away
• Work directly with the people building and commissioning some of the biggest data centre projects in Europe
• For 360 consultants: identify the right clients and decision makers and win new business without being pushy

What we are looking for

We do not care whether you have recruited before. We care about whether you will pick up the phone and listen. You will suit this role if you:

• Are comfortable talking to strangers, in person and on the phone, and can hold a conversation with a site electrician and a project director in the same hour
• Want to be measured on results and paid for them
• Are organised, honest and do not waste people’s time – yours, the candidate’s or the client’s
• Have a background in sales, trades, construction, engineering, hospitality, sport, the forces or anything else customer-facing – all have produced good consultants here
• Can commute to our Fareham office full time
