Refrigeration Engineer

£46,000 + Van

Location - SW London down to Plymouth

40 hours per week (Mon – Fri)

Our client, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions is hiring for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to support our Shell Retail contracts. This is a mobile position, covering multiple sites within South West London through to Plymouth, delivering high-quality maintenance across multiple locations.

You will play a key role in ensuring refrigeration and air conditioning systems are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably across Shell forecourt sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on commercial refrigeration systems, primarily display fridges
• Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance and breakdowns
• Service, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems across sites
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and company procedures
• Accurately complete job reports and documentation
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders on-site

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer
• Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems (display fridges essential)
• Experience working on air conditioning systems
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. F-Gas certification, refrigeration/AC qualifications)
• Full UK driving licence (essential due to mobile nature of the role)
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
