Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home

Location: Plymouth, PL6
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum
Bonus: Up to £5,000 per year
Service: Children's Residential – Learning Disabilities & Complex Needs

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Plymouth (PL6), supporting three young people with learning disabilities and additional complex needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager looking to progress, joining a supportive and growing organisation with a genuine focus on providing high-quality, child-centred care.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, creating a safe, nurturing and positive environment where young people are supported to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, motivating and developing the residential care team, including recruitment, supervision, appraisals and training
• Ensuring the home meets Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding requirements
• Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and positive outcomes for young people
• Managing staffing levels, rotas, budgets, resources and service performance
• Working closely with social workers, families, education providers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders
• Managing incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns appropriately
• Driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across the service

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience within children's residential care
• Management experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or equivalent
• Experience supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or currently working towards
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
