Repair Technician (Electronics) – Defence
Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire (Onsite)
Salary: £35,000 – £55,000

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Repair Technician to join a specialist engineering team. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and testing electronic equipment to component level.

You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is fully functional, compliant, and ready for use, supporting the delivery of essential services.

Key Responsibilities

• Fault finding and diagnosis of electronic units down to component level
• Repair and testing of electronic assemblies and units
• Ensuring all equipment meets safety and compliance standards
• Supporting engineering activities including modifications and upgrades
• Maintaining workshop tools, test equipment, and spares

Requirements

• Experience in electronics repair and component-level fault finding
• Strong understanding of electronic testing and diagnostics
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant role
• Electronics or electrical qualification (RF experience desirable)
• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance

Desirable

• Experience with RF or radar systems
• Background in defence, aerospace, or similar regulated environments
• Experience with reverse engineering or complex electronic assemblies
