Residential Child Care Worker

Basic Salary: £25,776 per annum + Sleep-Ins
Typical Annual Earnings: Approximately £32,832
(Based on an average of 9 sleep-ins per month across approximately 11 months per year, allowing for annual leave)

Full-Time | Permanent | 39 Hours per Week

What You'll Earn

Guaranteed Basic Salary

£25,776 per annum

Sleep-In Payments

• £71.28 per sleep-in
• Average of 9 sleep-ins per month
• Sleep-ins completed across approximately 11 months per year due to annual leave
• Additional annual sleep-in earnings of approximately £7,056

Overtime & Bank Holiday Enhancements

• Time-and-a-half for all approved overtime worked
• Time-and-a-half for Bank Holiday shifts
• Enhanced time-and-a-half rate for sleep-ins completed on Bank Holidays

Typical Annual Earnings

Approximately £32,832 per annum

We calculate typical earnings using 11 months of sleep-ins to provide a realistic annual earnings figure that reflects annual leave and achievable earnings.

Work Pattern

Full-time permanent contract

Average 39 hours per week

24-hour rolling shift pattern including sleep-ins

Regular blocks of days off between shifts

Rotas planned in advance wherever possible

No previous qualification is required.
