Valuing Futures is a specialist residential childcare provider supporting young people with emotional, behavioural, and complex needs. We provide trauma-informed, therapeutic care in a nurturing environment where children can feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.

The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in their daily lives, helping them build confidence, independence, and positive routines. You will create a safe and structured environment while promoting education, wellbeing, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and safeguard young people within a therapeutic residential setting
• Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a strong role model
• Encourage participation in education, daily routines, and life skills development
• Support young people with emotional wellbeing, behaviour management, and independence
• Plan and engage young people in meaningful activities and routines
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and care standards
• Provide practical guidance around finances, daily living, and personal development

Requirements

• Experience working with children and young people in residential care, youth work, education, or similar settings
• Passionate, caring, and resilient with strong communication skills
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care preferred (training provided if not qualified)
• Full UK Driving Licence required
• Enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks required
