Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Location: Yeovil (BA22)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join a children’s care home in the Yeovil (BA22) area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by providing high-quality care, support, and guidance within a safe and nurturing environment.

This role offers a variety of shifts, and we are particularly looking for individuals who can demonstrate flexibility across days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts where required.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people
• Promote a safe, structured, and positive living environment
• Support with daily routines including education, activities, and life skills
• Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care plans

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people (residential care, education, or similar settings desirable)
• A caring, resilient, and patient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly across a range of shifts
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
