Road Freight Account Manager

Manchester | £30,000-£35,000 + bonus
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

The role

You'll manage relationships with road freight customers, understand their requirements and work closely with operations to deliver a reliable service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the main point of contact for your customer accounts

• Building relationships and identifying opportunities to grow existing business

• Preparing quotations and following up on customer enquiries

• Liaising with operations, overseas partners and transport providers

• Monitoring service performance and resolving customer queries

• Keeping customers informed and ensuring their requirements are understood

• Maintaining accurate account records and pricing information

About you

• Experience in road freight account management, customer service or operations

• A good understanding of road freight services and customer requirements

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Commercial awareness and confidence discussing rates and quotations

• An organised, proactive approach to managing a busy workload
