Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join a growing engineering business, covering the Midlands. This is a customer-facing role with responsibility for developing new opportunities, managing the full sales process and building long-term customer relationships.

• Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to order and project delivery.
• Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals.
• Lead commercial and technical negotiations through to order.
• Work closely with internal project teams to ensure a smooth handover and successful delivery.
• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within the CRM.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

• Proven sales experience, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, automation or a technical environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills.
• Technically minded with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop solutions.
• Confident communicating with customers at all levels.
• Self-motivated, driven and comfortable working independently.
• Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
• Willing and able to travel throughout the Midlands, with occasional UK and overseas travel.

Full product and technical training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with strong technical aptitude.
