Job Description:

Location: Redbridge
Pay: Up to £600 per week
Hours: 30 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP

Horizon Teachers are currently working with a welcoming Primary School in Redbridge who are looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join their premises team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Manager to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance and security of the school, ensuring the premises remain safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs and routine checks across the school site.
• Assist with opening, closing and securing the school buildings when required.
• Support with cleaning duties and maintaining internal and external areas.
• Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and setting up rooms for school events and lettings.
• Report maintenance, security and health & safety concerns and maintain relevant site records.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous caretaking, premises or facilities experience, ideally within a school environment.
• Good practical maintenance skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.
• Reliable, organised and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
