Job Title: School Cleaner (DBS Essential)
Location: Hull (HU7 & HU9 Areas)
Salary: £13.04 per hour
Hours: Split shifts, Monday to Friday (6:00am - 8:00am and 3:15pm - 5:15pm)
Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary to Permanent

Our client is dedicated to creating safe, spotless, and hygienic learning environments, and they are looking for a reliable cleaner to join their school support team.
The Opportunity: What You Will Be Doing
Working on-site within a local educational facility, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. Your daily routine will focus on classrooms, hallways, and communal spaces, covering key tasks such as:

• Thoroughly vacuuming carpeted learning areas, sweeping corridors, and mopping hard floors.
• Dusting and sanitizing high-touch surfaces, including desks, door handles, and handrails, to maintain a safe environment.
• Deep cleaning and disinfecting staff and student washrooms, ensuring essential supplies are replenished.
• Managing waste disposal by emptying bins and replacing liners across your assigned school zones.

What We Need From You

• Background: Previous commercial, industrial, or school cleaning experience is preferred (ideally 1 year+), though a hard-working approach is what matters most.
• Safety & Compliance: A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate is essential due to the school setting. If you do not currently hold one, we can process a new certificate for the right candidate.
• Reliability: Punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently to complete a daily checklist during the split shift hours.
