Warehouse & Security Assistant Location: Wolverhampton
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm and weekends available 
Pay Rate: £12.71per hour

Warehouse & Security AssistantPertemps are currently recruiting for a Warehouse & Security Assistant to join a busy operation in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who is reliable, organised and comfortable working across both warehouse and site security duties.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse while helping to maintain a safe and secure working environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity & Site Duties

• Opening and securing the site in accordance with company procedures.
  
  
• Managing visitor access, including signing visitors and contractors in and out.
  
  
• Checking identification where required.
  
  
• Maintaining site security records and reporting any issues or incidents.
  
  
• Monitoring site security systems and responding to issues appropriately.
  
  
• Liaising with external monitoring services when required.
  
  
• Controlling the movement of goods and materials around the site.
  
  
• Handling secure waste in accordance with company procedures.
  
  
• Maintaining clean, tidy and secure external and internal areas.
  
  
• Supporting security checks and audit activities.
  
  
• Assisting with emergency procedures and fire safety duties where required.
  
  

Warehouse Duties

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
  
  
• Checking incoming goods against delivery paperwork.
  
  
• Reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods.
  
  
• Booking goods into the warehouse system accurately.
  
  
• Storing stock in the correct locations and maintaining accurate records.
  
  
• Picking and issuing materials to production areas as required.
  
  
• Following stock rotation procedures.
  
  
• Maintaining a clean, organised and secure warehouse.
  
  
• Managing quarantined or restricted stock in accordance with procedures.
  
  
• Moving stock safely using appropriate equipment.
  
  
• Collecting and disposing of general waste.
  
  
• Assisting with pallet collection and disposal.
  
  
• Collecting and storing finished goods and other stock.
  
  
• Assisting with picking, packing, labelling and despatch of goods.
  
  
• Ensuring warehouse paperwork is completed accurately.
  
  
• Supporting general warehouse and site duties as required.
  
  

The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will have:

 

• Previous warehouse experience.
  
  
• A valid forklift licence.
  
  
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  
  
• Good communication skills.
  
  
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use warehouse systems.
  
  
• A reliable and motivated approach to work.
  
  
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  
• A strong awareness of Health & Safety and site security procedures.
  
  
• The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks.
  
  

 

Previous experience in a security or facilities environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
