Security Officer

Location: South Normanton, DE55, Alloga UK Salary: £26,567 per annum for a 39-hour week Pay: £12.96 per hour for 39 hours, then £19.44 per hour for 9 hours Hours: 48 hours per week Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on Shifts: 5am - 5pm and 5pm - 5am DBS Check: Required

The Role

• Reporting to the Head of Security & Loss Prevention.
• Support security, loss prevention and HSE service provision across the Alloga UK campus.
• Maintain effective general and site-specific security measures.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and standards.
• Report all accidents and near misses immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate within a static gatehouse environment, including access control, booking deliveries and collections, traffic marshalling, logging information, temperature monitoring, incident control, and enforcing HSE/PPE compliance.
• Maintain physical site security through internal and external patrols, CCTV monitoring, and alarm and fire system oversight.
• Facilitate out-of-hours access for warehouse areas, including CD vault support for Duty Manager tasks.
• Assist with loss prevention activities including staff and vehicle searches, targeted surveillance, and report writing.
• Investigate and report on breaches and incidents including trespass, vandalism, assault, theft and alarm activations.
• Maintain working knowledge of CCTV, intruder alarms, fire alarms and temperature-controlled systems.
• Provide cover across days, nights, weekends, Bank Holidays and site lockdowns.
• Maintain confidentiality and support additional duties as required by management.
