Job Description:
Location: Central London
Indicative salary: £45,000–£55,000 per annum
Reports to: Security Programme Lead / Head of Security
Purpose of the role
Support the delivery of the organisation’s physical security improvement programme, including preparation for Martyn’s Law. Coordinate people, plans and information so that actions are completed, progress is clear and issues are raised promptly.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the programme plan, milestones, action log and risk register.
- Coordinate meetings, record decisions and follow up outstanding actions.
- Work with security, estates, facilities, HR and other teams to organise activities across sites.
- Track progress on security assessments, procedures, staff training and agreed improvements.
- Liaise with suppliers and specialist advisers to arrange visits, obtain updates and track deliverables.
- Prepare clear progress reports, highlighting delays, dependencies and decisions needed.
- Keep programme documents and supporting evidence organised and up to date.
- Support budget tracking, purchase orders and invoice checks where required.
Skills and experience
Essential
- Experience coordinating projects or programmes involving several teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow up actions confidently and escalate problems appropriately.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
Desirable
- Experience in security, facilities management, estates or compliance.
- Awareness of Martyn’s Law and physical security arrangements.
- A project management qualification or relevant practical experience.
Responsibility and support
The coordinator organises and tracks delivery. Specialist security advice, interpretation of legal requirements and approval of security measures sit with the organisation’s appointed leads and advisers. Overall programme accountability remains with the programme lead and sponsor.

It will be fixed term to start, probably 9 months but with the option to go perm.
