Security Supervisor

Location: Ryton, Coventry, CV8 3EN
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum, plus overtime opportunities
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, are seeking an experienced and motivated Security Supervisor to lead security operations at the National College of Policing in Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile site and play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure and professional environment.

We are looking for a confident and proactive leader with a strong background in security and team management. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the security team, maintaining operational standards, and building effective relationships with key stakeholders across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of Security Officers operating across a 24/7 environment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for site security matters.
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, conduct and standards, taking appropriate action where required.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and officer welfare checks.
• Ensure Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures remain accurate and up to date.
• Investigate incidents and support the completion of reports and documentation.
• Deliver inductions, training and refresher sessions to ensure compliance and competence.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture through engagement, toolbox talks and reporting initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience within the security industry.
• Experience managing or supervising a team.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• The confidence to drive standards and implement improvements.
• A proactive and organised approach to managing operational challenges.
• Experience using CCTV and ANPR systems would be advantageous.
• An ex-police background would be beneficial but is not essential.
• The ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.
