SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)

Pay: £95–£114 per day

ANZUK Education is working closely with a wonderful Church of England Secondary School to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role.

This position will focus on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
• Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies
• Help create a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment
• Support pupils both in and out of the classroom when required

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally SEMH
• A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Commitment to working full time
• Experience in a primary or junior school setting is desirable
