Job Description:

Qualified SEN teachers and specialists required to work 1:1 with children in the Croydon area. Our busy team of SEN tutors make a real difference to the lives of local children with SENs and those with additional needs. As an SEN tutor for Remedy you would be assigned a caseload of SEN students that fall within your specific teaching specialisms, are local to you and suit your availability.

Remedy Tutors are looking to hire teachers with the following skills and experience:

• Experience assessing, planning, implementing and delivering carefully  tailored programmes of study in line with the immediate learning needs of the student
• Previous experience working with children either in a school setting, or 1:1 within the home, local library or online (sometimes both face to face and online is required)
• Experience dealing with a range of special needs, learning disabilities, behavioural difficulties, literacy and numeracy needs, and any additional specialisms such as working with dyslexia, dyspraxia ODD, ADHD..etc.

Ideally you will be free to teach within school hours, as that is when most tuition is required although occasionally we do require tuition in the evenings and on weekends. 

Note that you will need a full enhanced DBS for children and adults which should ideally be registered on the DBS update service - if you do not already have one, you can apply for one through Remedy.
