Deputy Headteacher (SEND)
Location: South East London
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to support the Headteacher in leading our SEND school. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high-quality teaching, improving outcomes for pupils with SEND, and supporting the strategic development of the school.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Significant experience working within a SEND school or specialist provision.
- Proven leadership experience at senior or middle leadership level.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCPs, and inclusive practices.
- Experience of improving teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership of the school.
- Lead on teaching, learning, and curriculum development.
- Monitor and improve pupil progress and achievement.
- Support safeguarding, behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.
- Line manage staff and lead professional development.
- Build effective partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Deputise for the Headteacher when required.
