SEND Teaching Assistant - Medway

Simply Education are currently recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to work in specialist SEN schools across the Medway area.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to reach their full potential.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and complex learning difficulties

• Working closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored support

• Assisting with both academic and social development

• Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress

• Supporting behaviour management strategies where required

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year's experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a school setting

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND

• A patient, resilient and caring approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
